Aggie Spirit Award

Aggie Spirit Award
2017 Call for Nominations
The Faculty Senate is seeking nominations for their annual Aggie Spirit Awards. The Aggie Spirit Award was established in February 2001 in an effort to recognize outstanding courage and determination in the face of adversity while attending Texas A&M. Nominees must be currently enrolled as undergraduate or graduate students at Texas A&M. Nominees may also be students in professional programs such as medicine, law, dentistry, and veterinary medicine.
Nominations must be submitted to the Faculty Senate Office no later than 5:00pm on Friday, April 21, 2017. Nominations should include the nomination form and a detailed report about the nominee and how the nominee fulfills the criteria for this award. Nominations should include specific examples and descriptions of the student’s display of Aggie Spirit, courage, and determination. Electronic and/or hard copy submissions will be accepted.
Awards will consist of a framed certificate signed by the Speaker of the Faculty Senate and a monetary award (amount to be determined based on funds collected through donations from faculty). Awards will be made at the Faculty Senate meeting on Monday, May 8, 2017.
