The meeting was called to
order at 3:20 by Speaker
Speakers Comments:
Speaker Price welcomed Marilyn Willie back to the Faculty Senate. The Senate offices were not fully staffed for
the month of June but are fully staffed again.
The Faculty Senate retreat is scheduled this year for August 23rd; this
is for incoming, outgoing, and current Senators. Specific schedule and location will be
emailed shortly; we hope to return to Christopher’s again.
The new communication equipment is being installed. By the August meeting, our
The Executive Committee of the Faculty Senate voted to suspend
temporarily the recertification of the Core Curriculum at the request of the
Core Curriculum Council. We are awaiting
a proposed revised process from the Core Curriculum Council. We recognize this
is an inconvenience to the colleges, but we hope to have this resolved as soon
as possible.
