Committee of
the Whole
Senator Magill raised concerns about various rules regarding
international students. Dr. Watson
mentioned she had been in some meetings with a group headed by Mario Rojo-Del-Busto, Director of International
Services, discussing the problem of the constantly changing federal regulations
regarding international students. She
suggested that it would be good for Mario to meet with the Faculty Senate or
some committee of Faculty Senators to discuss this. Senator Woosley mentioned that he should meet
with the Executive Committee. Senator
Vogel made note that the TAMU website now uses Google for their maps and this
is very unsatisfactory. Senator Hall
raised questions about security cameras.
Dr. Watson explained some of the parameters regarding the cameras. This seemed to alleviate Senator Hall’s concern. Speaker Price gave a brief summary of the
Executive Committee’s discussion with personnel from MARS.
Adjourn
The meeting was adjourned at 3:50 pm.
