Speaker –Elect Bierman took the Senate into the Committee of the Whole.
Senator Greenbaum suggested that a different procedure should be used in the future for reviewing Honorary Degrees.
Senator Ezell requested that the EC forward a formal charge to create a Task Force to create an organization for faculty engage in non-funded research, which would parallel the CPI.  Speaker Strawser had requested that she chair such a Task Force.
Speaker Strawser asked to Senators to be prepared to engage in an extended discussion of the Aggie Honor Code and the Honor Office.  He indicated that a committee may be formed to make recommendations regarding the Honor Council, Honor Code enforcement, and penalties for violations.
