Aggie Spirit Award
2021 Call for Nominations

The Faculty Senate is seeking nominations for their annual Aggie Spirit Awards.  The Aggie Spirit Award was established in February 2001 in an effort to recognize students of outstanding courage and determination in the face of adversity while attending Texas A&M University.

Nominees must be currently enrolled as undergraduate or graduate students at Texas A&M University.  Nominees may also be students in professional programs such as medicine, law, dentistry, pharmacy, and veterinary medicine.

Nominations must include completion of the nomination form and a detailed recommendation about the nominee and how the nominee fulfills the criteria for this award.  Recommendations should include specific examples and descriptions of the student’s display of Aggie Spirit, courage, and determination.

Access the nomination form here.  Nominations must be submitted no later than noon on Wednesday, April 28th, 2021.  Only those nominations received by the deadline may be considered.

Awards will consist of a framed certificate signed by the Speaker of the Faculty Senate and a monetary award (amount to be determined based on funds collected through donations from faculty).  Awards will be made at the Faculty Senate meeting on Monday, May 10, 2021, at 3:00 pm via Zoom.
