- I (Len Bierman) attended a Leadership Reception at the Association of Former Students organization on February 24 and the Executive Director of the Association, Porter Garner, will be addressing our April 10 meeting to discuss what the Association is doing and greater possible collaboration between the Association and the Faculty Senate. Also addressing our upcoming meeting will be Michael O’Quinn, the university’s VP of Government Affairs who will be giving us an update regarding what’s going on in Austin and how the Association of Former Students is working with him on legislative issues.
- At this time, we are going to pass the hat to collect donations for the Aggie Spirit Award. This award is given to students who have displayed courage, determination, and the Aggie Spirit in the face of adversity during their time at Texas A&M. The award is funded solely by Faculty Senate donations. If you do not have a donation with you today, you can bring donations to the Dean of Faculties Office any time before Friday, April 21st.
